In 2009, guitarist John Kadlecik left Dark Star Orchestra to become a founding member of Furthur, a band formed by Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir and bassist Phil Lesh. In January, Kadlecik will reunite with a few members of DSO and others as Rocky Mountain Grateful Dead Revue for a series of eight socially distanced concerts at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom.

The Rocky Mountain Grateful Dead Revue will play two shows per night between January 14 – 17, 2021. Kadlecik will be joined in the band by Dark Star Orchestra guitarist Rob Eaton, keyboardist Rob Barraco and bassist Skip Vangelas as well as longtime RatDog drummer Jay Lane and Pickin’ On The Dead’s Jake Wolf. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, Thursday, November 19 at 12 p.m. MT via the venue’s website.

While Vangelas joined DSO after Kadlecik’s departure, the upcoming shows will mark the first time John K. has shared the stage with Rob Eaton and Rob Barraco since 2009.
