John Bell Plays Two Widespread Panic Songs With Zac Brown Band

On Saturday night Widespread Panic front man John Bell sat in with the Zac Brown Band at the group’s Southern Ground Music & Food Festival, which was held at Blackbaud Stadium in Charleston, SC.

Brown told the crowd he followed Widespread Panic whenever he could back in his school days as he introduced JB. Bell and the Zac Brown Band collaborated on a pair of Widespread Panic originals -“Blue Indian” and “Ain’t Life Grand.” The ZBB had covered “Ain’t Life Grand” in the past, but this marked the debut of “Blue Indian.” Zac and JB shared vocals on both tunes.

Watch exceptional fan-shot video by Shea Hester of both songs:

JB also stuck around for a cover of “Use Me” by Bill Withers that also featured Atlanta-based guitarist Donald Dunlavey.
