Joe Russo’s Almost Dead Performs ‘Turn On Your Love Light’ In Washington D.C.: Pro-Shot Video

The latest installment of Joe Russo’s Almost Dead‘s RAD Tracks series features pro-shot video of an inventive version of “Turn On Your Love Light.” The quintet’s cover of the Bobby “Blue” Bland classic was recorded on September 28, 2019 at The Anthem in Washington D.C.

Keyboardist Marco Benevento stars in the “Love Light” JRAD played to end their first set at The Anthem last September. Benevento kicks off the cover with a rollicking solo and handles lead vocals at the beginning of the nine-minute rendition. Drummer Joe Russo then takes a short solo of his own before the band picks up where they left off. Guitarist Scott Metzger stepped into the spotlight for a ripping shredfest and then JRAD brings the music to near silence.
