Many shows in Asheville and the surrounding area have been canceled in the wake of the devastation left by Tropical Storm Helene including this weekend’s Joe Russo’s Almost Dead concerts at Salvage Station. JRAD partnered with nugs.net to present a pay-per-view benefit webcast of Thursday’s show in Charlottesville, with all proceeds to be donated to Asheville relief funds.
In addition to the livestream, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead will dip into their archives for never-before-seen full-show footage that will air on Friday and Saturday nights when the band was supposed to be on stage in Asheville. Friday’s broadcast will feature the premiere of quintet’s acoustic show filmed on August 11, 2023 in Jay, Vermont. On Saturday, JRAD’s August 13, 2023 performance at The Music Box At The Borgata in Asbury Park, New Jersey will air for the first time.

Joe Russo’s Almost Dead announced the cancelation of the Asheville shows on Monday. “As everyone can assume, JRAD will not be performing in Asheville this coming weekend,” wrote the band. “Our friends and promoters in North Carolina have their hands full right now and need to give their full effort and attention to far more pressing matters, but we will share ticket refund details once available.”
The statement confirmed that the group will move forward with the show on Thursday and hinted at the benefit webcasts detailed today. “Our hearts go out to everyone in Asheville and the surrounding areas devastated by this storm and we look forward to returning to this incredible community soon,” ended the note signed “with love” by Joe Russo’s Almost Dead.
The livestream and archival webcasts are available for pre-order now via nugs.net. Proceeds from the broadcasts and show poster will go towards MANNA FoodBank and BeLoved Asheville.
