Grateful Dead tribute act Joe Russo’s Almost Dead have just announced a series of shows in Colorado as well as their now traditional visit to New Orleans during Jazz Fest. The four concerts announced today include the five-piece’s first headlining gig at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado.
Drummer Joe Russo, keyboardist Marco Benevento, guitarists Scott Metzger and Tom Hamilton and bassist Dave Dreiwitz will play the Ogden Theatre in Denver on April 28 ahead of their headlining gig at Red Rocks on April 29. Medeski, Martin & Wood have been tapped to support JRAD at Red Rocks. Almost Dead also announced they will perform at The Joy Theater in New Orleans on May 5 and 6.
Tickets for all four newly announced shows go on sale Fridady, December 9. Those planning on attending Joe Russo’s Almost Dead’s performance at the Ogden will need to buy a Red Rocks ticket. Band presales for the Ogden/Red Rocks shows and the New Orleans concerts will take place Tuesday, December 7 at 12 p.m. ET and 2:30 p.m. ET respectively.
