Joe Russo To Host Jerry Garcia & Howard Wales ‘Hooteroll?’ Concert At The Capitol Theatre

Drummer Joe Russo and an all-star roster of musicians will celebrate the music of Jerry Garcia and Howard Wales at The Capitol Theatre next year. The show is being billed as “Hooteroll? + Plus” and will be held on April 7 in Port Chester, New York.

Russo recruited Stuart Bogie (reeds/flute), Erik Deutsch (keyboards), Jonathan Goldberger (guitar), Dave Harrington (bass), Kevin Kendrick (vibraphone/percussion) and Jordan McLean (trumpet) to perform Garcia and Wales’ acclaimed 1971 fusion album Hooteroll?. In addition to performing the LP in full, the announcement promised “other likeminded compositions” will be played as well.
