My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James will spend most of November embarking on a solo acoustic tour. James is expected to perform material from throughout his career including songs from his forthcoming new album Uniform Distortion at historic theaters and performing arts centers in the U.S.

“I am looking forward to exploring all sorts of songs stripped down as they first occurred in their natural habitat — just voice and guitar. Although I have played many shows by myself, this will be my first tour of this style and I am excited to see everyone out on the open road,” said James in a press release. Longtime touring drummer David Givan will accompany Jim on the run, while Hurray For The Riff Raff vocalist Alynda Segarra will open each date.
