Jerry Harrison & Adrian Belew Bringing Talking Heads ‘Remain In Light’ Tribute On The Road In 2023

The pair will be joined by former members of Turkuaz, Yahuba Garcia-Torres and Julie Slick for performances of the iconic 1980 album.

Talking Heads co-founder Jerry Harrison and one-time touring guitarist Adrian Belew will honor the group’s iconic Remain In Light album over the course of a winter tour. The run features 19 tour dates next February and March.

Harrison and Belew will be joined by a band that includes former members of Turkuaz Craig Brodhead on guitar and synths, Michelangelo Carubba on drums, Greg Sanderson on saxophone, Joshua Schwartz on saxophone, Chris Brouwers on trumpet, Sammi Garett on vocals and Shira Elias on vocals as well as bassist Julie Slick and percussionist Yahuba Garcia-Torres. “Remain In Light is a high point in my career,” explained Harrison. “Adrian and I had often discussed the magic of the 1980 tour and the sheer joy it brought to audiences. It is such a delight to see that joy once again in the audiences on the current tour.”

“A joyful show of Talking Heads songs you know and love performed by a hot, eleven-piece ensemble including Jerry and me,” Belew added. “You can’t help but dance and go home with a happy smile on your face.”

Jerry Harrison and Adrian Belew’s Remain In Light 2023 tour starts in Colorado with concerts in Denver on February 16, Boulder on February 17 and Beaver Creek on February 18. A stop in Oklahoma City on February 21 will be followed by a Midwest swing featuring performances in St. Louis on February 22, Minneapolis on February 24, Chicago on February 25, Indianapolis on February 26 and Akron (Ohio) on February 27. A show in Buffalo on February 28 concludes the month.

The ensemble begins March with a stop in Toronto on March 2. From there Harrison and Belew bring the tribute to Pittsburgh on March 3, Baltimore on March 4, Sayreville (New Jersey) on March 5, Philadelphia on March 7, Albany (New York) on March 8, New York City on March 9 and Boston on March 10. The tour is currently slated to end in New Haven, Connecticut on March 11.
