A Grateful Tribute: Boston Pops To Host All-Star Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebrations
Melvin Seals, Jacklyn LaBranch, Oteil Burbridge, Tom Hamilton, John Morgan Kimock and Lady Chi will join the Boston Pops for the orchestral concerts.

The Boston Pops will be joined by an impressive lineup of musicians for a pair of Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebrations. Boston’s Symphony Hall will host the orchestral tribute to Jerry Garcia’s music on Tuesday, June 3 and Wednesday, June 4.
Longtime Jerry Garcia Band members keyboardist Melvin Seals and vocalist Jacklyn LaBranch will team with the Boston Pops for the June performances with Dead & Company bassist Oteil Burbridge, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead guitarist Tom Hamilton, vocalist Lady Chi and drummer John Morgan Kimock rounding out the all-star lineup.

The concerts will commemorate “60 years of the Grateful Dead.” Past Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebrations, which have been held at venues across the country, have featured orchestral versions of material from both the Grateful Dead and Garcia’s solo repertoires. Keith Lockhart will conduct the Boston Pops and the band.
