Jay Cobb Anderson Joins Greensky Bluegrass For Butch Trucks Tribute

Last night Greensky Bluegrass held a concert at the Westcott Theater in Syracuse, New York with Fruition also on the bill. The two band’s collaborated during GSBG’s headlining performance while paying tribute to The Allman Brothers Band drummer Butch Trucks.
News of Trucks’ death at the age of 69 surfaced yesterday and the ABB co-founding member was honored at the close of Greensky’s first set. Fruition’s Jay Cobb Anderson emerged to add harmonica to the blues standard “One Way Out,” which was a staple of The Allmans’ repertoire and appeared on their 1972 LP Eat A Peach.
