Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit Share Lyric Video For New Single ‘Hope The High Road’

Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit are set to issue a new album entitled The Nashville Sound through Southeastern Records/Thirty Tigers. The current Nashville resident has shared the first single from the LP in the form of a lyric video for the track “Hope The High Road.”

Isbell and The 400 Unit – keyboardist Derry deBorja, drummer Chad Gamble bassist Jimbo Hart fiddler/vocalist Amanda Shires and guitarist Sadler Vaden – recorded The Nashville Sound in Music City at the renowned RCA Studio A. The 10 tracks were again produced by Dave Cobb who was also behind the board on Isbell’s recent LP’s Southeastern and Something More Than Free. The record marks the first Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit album since Here We Rest was issued in 2011.

The first single “Hope The High Road” is one of several politically charged new compositions penned by Isbell. The band recently began incorporating the song into their live performances.
