Jason Isbell Joins Wilco In Minneapolis

Yesterday the second day of 2015 Basicalla Block Party took place in Minneapolis and featured Wilco, Jenny Lewis, Fly Golden Eagle and Jason Isbell among the lineup of Saturday performers. After performing a set prior to Wilco’s headlining slot, singer-songwriter Jason Isbell stuck around to assist the Chicago band on their set closing performance of “California Stars.”

Wilco capped off their career spanning set by welcoming Isbell to the stage to play guitar on “California Stars” which appeared on their Mermaid Avenue album recorded with Billy Bragg and featuring lyrics by Woody Guthrie.
