Upper Deck’s Goodwin Champions trading card set is known for featuring a diverse collection of athletes, musicians, politicians and other celebrities. Goodwin Champions 2021, which despite its name just came out last week, includes trading cards devoted to JamBase regulars Jason Isbell, The Avett Brothers, Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks.
The main Goodwin Champions set consists of 150 total cards. Isbell is featured in the main set with both a base card and “Splash Of Color” card. However, it’s the more rare autographed cards where things get interesting.

Guitarist Jason Isbell signed Goudey branded cards, a variation of his main card and a horizontally-oriented card. There’s also Jason Isbell relic cards featuring a swatch from his wardrobe.
Derek Trucks signed dual autograph cards with his Tedeschi Trucks Band mate and wife, Susan Tedeschi, though none have surfaced on eBay yet. Trucks’ “Splash Of Color” signed card has tough odds of 1 per 2,074 packs on average. Susan is featured in both Goudey branded autographed cards and “Splash Of Color” signed cards.
The Avett Brothers’ Scott Avett and Seth Avett signed cards together and individually. Odds for the dual autograph card have yet to be revealed. Scott Avett Goudey brand signed cards and Seth Avett Goudey brand signed cards can be pulled in approximately 1 out of every 533 packs.
Goodwin Champions boxes are on sale now via eBay and other online retailers as well as at local card stores worldwide.
