Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit unveiled Live At The CMA Theater exclusively via Bandcamp today. The live album was recorded in Isbell’s current hometown of Nashville on December 12, 2017 and is an acoustic performance.
In 2017, Jason Isbell was tapped by the Country Music Hall Of Fame & Museum as its 14th annual artist-in-residence. Isbell played three concerts at the CMA Theater during the final month of the year, each with a different group of musicians. The Alabama native brought his longtime backing band to the intimate venue for the middle night, December 12, and they delivered a rare acoustic performance.

The band went heavy on material from The Nashville Sound, a studio album the group released just six months prior. Isbell also showed off songs from other eras of his career including “Outfit” from his time in Drive-By Truckers and the beloved “Cover Me Up” off Jason’s 2013 solo LP, Southeastern.
