Jason Crosby teased the show on social media earlier this week. Crosby noted he’s spent a lot of time working on new music and is excited to premiere the tunes at The Fillmore.
“The show in January is going to feature a lot of mashups. I know a lot of people have commented about the Nirvana/Grateful Dead thing that I’ve been doing for a long time. I’ve decided this year to expand upon that,” Crosby added in reference to his “Friend Of The Lithium Devil” mashup.
“I wrote another 20 of them, 10 of them have been recorded. We’ll be doing those along with some other stuff,” continued Crosby. The Bay Area musician’s post announcing the show features a mashup of Phish’s “Tweezer” and the traditional “I Know You Rider”:
Tickets for the first-ever Crosby Collective concert go on sale today (Friday, November 22) at 10 a.m. PT.
