Jake Peavy won the 2007 NL Cy Young Award as a member of the San Diego Padres. Peavy’s run with Giants spanned 2014 – 2016. The team won a championship that first year. Flannery was the Giants’ 3rd Base Coach in 2014.
“I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since our championship. What a great way to come back to the Bay Area and see old friends and share music with such an amazing part of the world. I’m honored and excited to be able to combine two things I love so much, baseball and music and help out with the mission of the wonderful team at Sweet Relief,” explained Jake Peavy in a statement.
501-C3 non-profit charity Sweet Relief was founded by Victoria Williams in 1994. Sweet Relief has spent the last 30 years helping career musicians and those in the music industry that are struggling financially as they deal with physical or mental health problems, disability or age-related issues.
