Jacksonville Jaguars Tap Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi To Perform National Anthem At Playoff Game
The Tedeschi Trucks Band co-leaders are longtime fans of the hometown team and season ticket holders.

Longtime Jacksonville Jaguars fans’ Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi will perform the National Anthem before the National Football League team’s playoff game against the Los Angeles Chargers at TIAA Bank Field on Saturday. The couple who co-founded and lead the Tedeschi Trucks Band are Jacksonville residents and Jaguars season ticket holders.
While Tedeschi and Trucks have each played “The Star Spangled Banner” ahead of Jags games in the past, those performances came separately. Susan Tedeschi sang the National Anthem at the team’s last home playoff game in 2018. Jacksonville native Derek Trucks did the honors remotely before a 2020 game due to the pandemic.
