Last night Phil Lesh & Friends began a four-night stand at Lesh’s Terrapin Crossroads venue in San Rafael, CA. Coming into the show it had been announced that the Grateful Dead bassist would be joined by Jason Crosby, Joe Russo, John Kadlecik and a “special guest” for the run. When the band took the stage we found out that the special guest was none other than Jackie Greene.

Greene and Kadlecik handled the majority of the lead vocals throughout Thursday night’s show, with Lesh stepping into the spotlight for “The Other One.” The quintet was aided by percussionist Jordan Levine on “The Other One” along with the “Drums” segment that followed and a “Not Fade Away” later in the evening. Phil and his band focused on songs from the Grateful Dead’s live repertoire as well as a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Senor (Tales Of Yankee Power),” which was sung by Greene. The run continues tonight at Terrapin Crossroads.
