Organizers of this weekend’s Home Grown Music Network 20th Anniversary Festival have announced the cancellation of the originally scheduled outdoor event due to the impending weather set to come through the area. Some of the artists who were set to play the festival will be doing so, indoors at the Haw River Ballroom in Saxapahaw, North Carolina today and tomorrow.

Here’s the full statement from festival organizers:

“It is with our deepest regrets that we must cancel this weekend’s Home Grown Music 20th Anniversary Festival.

Extreme wet weather has been hitting our state hard for more than the past week and with hurricane Joaquin expected to impact our weather even further this coming weekend, we feel that this could become a potentially life threatening situation and we have the highest regards for your safety.

This is a heartbreaking situation for us, so we ask that you please bear with us while we sort everything out. Full refunds will be available for those who purchased tickets in advance. Stay tuned for more instructions early next week.”

BIG Something, Dangermuffin and Barefoot Manner are among the acts set to play live sets at the Haw River Ballroom on Thursday and Friday. Two-night passes are available for $25, Thursday only is $10 and Friday only is $20. Organizers note that are still seeking a viable option for Saturday. Stay tuned to the Home Grown Music Network website for up-to-date information.
