Ian Sweet Announces New Album ‘Shiverstruck’ & 2026 North American Tour Dates

Ian Sweet — the project of Los Angeles-based musician Jilian Medford — will release a new album, Shiverstruck, om July 24 via Polyvinyl. The album’s announcement arrived alongside its lead single, “Criminal Kissing,” and details of 2026 North American Tour dates.

Medford wrote what became the songs on Shiverstruck while living in New York City. The Los Angeles native recorded the 10-track LP at Maze Studios in Atlanta, where she worked with producer Ben H. Allen. The pair was joined by drummer Harold Brown and engineer Ben Etter.

“It was the hardest I’ve worked and ruminated on lyrics,” Medford revealed. “The writing was the heart of everything and had to feel really grounded. I put in crazy amounts of time and energy to make them feel like the truest reflection of who I am and where I’m at in my life right now.”

Ian Sweet will mark the album’s release with a show in Los Angeles on July 24. The tour picks back up in October, routing through New Hampshire and Vermont before crossing into Canada for shows in Montreal and Toronto.

The itinerary then moves through the Midwest — with stops in Grand Rapids (Michigan), Chicago, Milwaukee, Minneapolis and Eau Claire (Wisconsin) — before heading south to Nashville and Durham (North Carolina). November wraps up the run on the West Coast, with dates in Seattle, Portland and San Francisco on November 6.

Ian Sweet will open for American Football on their North American Tour this July. Tickets for the newly announced Ian Sweet headline tour dates go on sale Friday, April 24 at 10 a.m. local venue time.
