The spirit of Pete and Toshi Seeger’s Clearwater Festival will live on through the new Hudson River Music Festival, which makes its debut on Saturday, June 14 at the idyllic Croton Point Park in Croton On Hudson, New York.

Grahame Lesh, the son of Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh, will headline with a Grahame Lesh & Friends lineup featuring Goose guitarist Rick Mitarotonda, Dead & Company bassist Oteil Burbridge, Dark Star Orchestra keyboardist Rob Barraco, TAB trumpeter/vocalist Jennifer Hartswick and Dawes co-founders guitarist/vocalist Taylor Goldsmith and drummer Griffin Goldsmith. The Goldsmith siblings will also join Lucius for an acoustic set at the 2025 Hudson River Music Festival.

Madison Cunningham, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Jorma Kaukonen and Steve Earle & Friends round out the inaugural lineup. The new festival will also offer family friendly activities, a boat floatilla celebration, an activism area, workshops and more.

Toshi and Pete Seeger founded the Clearwater Festival in 1966. The folk picnics were held through the start of the pandemic. Riverfest FPS (For Pete’s Sake), Dayglo Presents and Harper House Music Foundation have partnered to produce the Hudson River Music Festival.

“We started with a vision to bring back a beloved festival to Croton Point Park. Pete Seeger taught us about the power of music to connect people, learn about the environment, and commit to work together for a sustainable planet – as important today as it was fifty years ago,” stated RiverFest FPS co-founders Mitzi Elkes, Hal Cohen and Roy Volpe.

“We are super honored to be continuing the magic that was created at Croton Point Park for many years. Given the upheaval in the world, it feels good to have such a solid piece of history return again. We are going to do our very best to do something new and fresh, while also respecting the roots of how this new festival came to be,” added Dayglo Presents founder Peter Shapiro.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, April 25, with General Admission and VIP options available.
