New York Rangers Schedule Inaugural Phish Night To Benefit WaterWheel Foundation

National Hockey League team the New York Rangers will host their first-ever Phish Night at Madison Square Garden on Friday, March 27. Fans who purchase tickets for the Rangers’ game against the Chicago Blackhawks through an offer here will receive an exclusive Phish poster created by MSG specifically for the event.

The Blueshirts’ Phish Night comes just months after a similiar event hosted by divisional rivals the Philadelphia Flyers. A portion of each ticket sold through the offer will benefit The WaterWheel Foundation, a non-profit organization created by Phish to oversee the band’s various charitable activities.

Phish has performed at Madison Square Garden more than any artist other than Billy Joel. The quartet returns to the “World’s Greatest Arena” in July for five summer shows that will bring the total number of Phish concerts at the venue to 96.

Poster pickup instructions will be communicated to those who buy tickets through the Phish Night Offer one day before the game. Fans must pickup the poster at the game.

In other Phish/MSG news, the band will finally reissue their legendary December 31, 1995 concert at The Garden as a 6-LP vinyl box set on May 8. The group’s famed New Year’s Eve 1995 show became the first live concert issued by Phish on vinyl in 2015. The special Record Store Day release was limited to 4,500 copies, with sets fetching huge premiums on eBay.

A new “Countdown Confetti” splatter pressing is available for pre-order via Phish Dry Goods. The 6-LP vinyl box set will also be on sale at record stores.
