Lake Street Dive and Hozier united for a stunning performance of “With A Little Help From My Friends” on last night’s episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The groups were assisted by members of the program’s house band Louis Cato & The Great Big Joy Machine on the cover of the Beatles’ 1967 hit.
Both Lake Street Dive and Hozier have made multiple appearances on The Late Show over the years. They’re also longtime collaborators dating back to the two acts swapping sit-ins at the 2019 Newport Folk Festival.
Hozier is currently in New York City for tonight’s Love Rocks NYC benefit concert at The Beacon Theatre. A livestream is available via VEEPS. The Irish singer previously performed “With A Little Help From My Friends” with Mumford & Sons at Bonnaroo in 2015 and at Dublin’s Longitude Festival in 2017.
Lake Street Dive will return to the road in April for a month-long spring tour. The series of East Coast and Southeast performances starts in Albany, New York on April 8 and continues through April 28.
