Homecoming: Blackberry Smoke Returns To Atlanta – Photos & Audio

Rockers Blackberry Smoke played a hometown homecoming show at The Tabernacle in Atlanta this past Friday night. The band raised over $40K for a local children’s hospital and presented a career-spanning array of material including a new song. Blackberry Smoke also played a bevy of covers, many of which featured special guests Benji Shanks on guitar and The Black Bettys on vocals. Some of those covers were The Beatles’ “Come Together,” which came within “Sleepin’ Dogs Lie,” The Rolling Stones’ “Tumbling Dice,” a short “Mountain Jam” (Allman Brothers Band) excursion and an encore that featured a riveting take on The Black Crowes’ “Remedy.” Check out Lisa Keel’s photos followed by audio of highlights and the evening’s setlist:
