The Highwomen Bring Out Bonnie Raitt, Linda Perry, Sheryl Crow & More At The Gorge

The first The Highwomen concert in three years brought the 2026 installment of Brandi Carlile's Echoes Through The Canyon weekend at The Gorge to an end on Sunday. Brandi Carlile, Amanda Shires, Maren Morris and Natalie Hemby reassembled the supergroup for a 26-song show, including collaborations with fellow event performers Bonnie Raitt, Wynonna Judd, Sheryl Crow, Brittney Spencer and Allison Russell as well as a surprise appearance from Linda Perry.

Brandi Carlile headlined the first two nights of the weekend, which marked the return of the event three years after its sold-out debut in 2023. The collaborative spirit was alive and well throughout Echoes Through The Canyon 2026 right from the start. Indigo Girls welcomed Carlile for “Kid Fears” and I’m With Her for “Chuck Will’s Widow” during their set on the initial day of the event before Brandi’s Friday night headlining set saw her team at various points with I’m With Her, Indigo Girls and Sara Bareilles. Additionally, the host was joined by her Highwomen bandmates to play “Crowded Table” to kick off her encore.

The Highwomen also shared the stage for “If She Ever Leaves Me” during Carlile’s set on Saturday night. “If She Ever Leaves Me” featured special guests Indigo Girls, I’m With Her, Spencer and Russell in addition to The Highwomen. Amy Ray also sat-in with Brandi as part of a set that ended with Carlile calling upon Bonnie Raitt to end the evening with joint versions of Raitt’s “Love Me Like A Man,” John Prine’s “Angel From Montgomery” and Joni Mitchell’s “Both Sides, Now.”

Sheryl Crow and Wynonna Judd each called upon Brandi Carlile to sit-in during their performances on Sunday. Carlile linked up with Crow on “If It Makes You Happy” and united with Wynonna on “Born To Be Blue.” Elsewhere, Raitt lent her talented to Judd’s “Rock Bottom” performance and Maren Morris dueted with Brittney Spencer on “Night In.”

The stage was then set for The Highwomen’s return. The Highwomen hadn’t played a full show together since they performed at the 2023 installment of the event, which was documented on a newly released live album. Carlile, Shires, Morris and Hemby mixed songs from their lone album, 2019’s The Highwomen, with a series of choice covers and tunes from Morris and Shires’ solo catalogs.

Immediately after the “Highwomen” opener, Bonnie Raitt emerged for “Redesigning Women.” Wynonna came out a few songs to latter to join the quartet for Judds classics “Young Love (Strong Love),” “Love Is Alive,” “Girls Night Out” and “Rockin’ With The Rhythm Of The Rain.” The stage was then loaded with Raitt, Russell, Judd, Crow and Spencer performing “Crowded Table” with the supergroup.

Sheryl Crow was the next featured guest to collaborate with The Highwomen. Crow lent a hand on Highwomen original “Heaven Is A Honky Tonk” before leading the group through her song “Strong Enough.” Another memorable moment trailed shortly behind when Allison Russell united with The Highwomen to cover The Chicks’ “Goodbye Earl.” Other covers played towards the end of the main set were Tom Petty’s “American Girl,” the Dirty Dancing soundtrack gem “(I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life)” and Fleetwood Mac’s beloved “The Chain.”

The Highwomen said farewell with a four-song encore. Up first was a mostly acappela take on Lee Ann Womack’s “The Bees.” Carlile then asked the crowd if they “wanted to sing one of the most iconic songs of the last 100 years.” Linda Perry came out after a brief introduction to guide the supergroup on “What’s Up?” from her time in 4 Non Blondes. A performance of Morris’ “My Church” and a more loose second version of “Redesigning Women” capped Echoes Through The Canyon 2026.
