High Sierra Music Festival Announces ‘Home Sierra’ Schedule

Starting today, High Sierra Music Festival will host “Home Sierra” in place of this year’s annual event, which was canceled due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. HSMF revealed the schedule of archival and live-from-home performances broadcasting through Sunday, July 5.
The stream will be available at the HSMF home page, on KVMR Community Radio and nugs.net. Live sets scheduled for today (Thursday, July 2) include Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz, Steve Poltz, Shook Twins, Chris Chandler and Carolyn Wonderland. Those will occur between archival performances from the past 29 years including Del McCoury Band, Los Lobos, Ben Harper, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Railroad Earth, Fruition, The Radiators and more.

Friday’s live performance lineup features Marco Benevento, Grahame Lesh, Ron Artis II, Marty O’Reilly and Alfred Howard. Archival footage on Friday includes Sturgill Simpson, Umphrey’s McGee, ALO, The Slip, Galactic and many others.
Saturday’s Fourth Of July live sets will come from Anders Osborne, Cris Jacobs and Nathan Moore. The Independence Day archival performance lineup will present past footage of Trey Anastasio Band, The String Cheese Incident, Ernest Ranglin, Yonder Mountain String Band, Greensky Bluegrass, Leftover Salmon, The California Honeydrops and more.

Sunday’s live action will be supplied by Luther Dickinson and Dan Bern. Archival sets on Sunday include Tedeschi Trucks Band, Toots & The Maytals, Maceo Parker, NRBQ, Surprise Me Mr. Davis and several others.
Each day will also present various “Playshop Hour” performances from past HSMF “Playshop” sessions. “Home Sierra” merch is available to purchase here.
