nugs Announces The Heart Of Town Grateful Dead 60th Anniversary Livestreams

nugs will broadcast The Heart Of Town concert series commemorating the Grateful Dead's 60th anniversary. The first of three shows featuring Grahame Lesh and an eye-popping assemblage of special guests will air live from San Francisco on Thursday, July 31, while the last two concerts will be recorded for livestream premieres on Tuesday, August 5 and Wednesday, August 6.

All three shows can be viewed by nugs All Access subscribers with replays available on demand through August 14. The Thursday night livestream, airing in real time as a pre-Dead & Company party, starts at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT. The premieres on Tuesday, August 5 and Wednesday, August 6 begin at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

Hosted by Grahame Lesh & Friends, The Heart Of Town will be held from Thursday, July 31 through Saturday, August 2 at San Francisco’s Pier 48 in Mission Rock. On Thursday, Grahame Lesh will be joined by Stephen Stills, Peter Rowan, Al Schnier, Alex Koford, Andy Frasco, Bill Nershi, Elliott Peck, Eric Krasno, Garrett Deloian, Griffin Goldsmith, Holly Bowling, Ivan Neville, Jeremy Hoenig, John Kadlecik, John Molo, JP McLean, Maggie Rose, Melvin Seals, Nathan Graham, Nicki Bluhm, Pete Sears, Roger McNamee, Sam Grisman, Taylor Goldsmith and Tony Hall.

The Friday lineup (set to premiere on nugs on Tuesday, August 5) features Grahame Lesh along with Alex Koford, Aron MagnerCody Dickinson, Duane Betts, Elliott Peck, Jake Brownstein, Jason Crosby, Kanika Moore, Karl Denson, Leslie Mendelson, Luther Dickinson, members of Bertha: Grateful Drag, Nathan Graham, Neal Francis, Nicki Bluhm, Reed Mathis, Scott Law, Tom Hamilton and Trevor Weekz.

Grahame Lesh’s guests on Saturday (set to premiere on nugs on Wednesday, August 6) will be Adam Deitch, Alex Koford, Cotter Ellis, Lebo (Dan Lebowitz), Elliott Peck, Eric Krasno, Erick “Jesus” Coomes, Jackie Greene, Jennifer Hartswick, John Lee Shannon, John Medeski, Kanika Moore, Karina Rykman, Mikaela Davis, Natalie Cressman, Nathan Graham, Robert Randolph, Steve Molitz, Stuart Bogie and Zion Godchaux.

The actual concerts on Friday, August 1 and Saturday, August 2 will start at 11 p.m. to give fans attending Dead & Company's shows at Golden Gate Park the opportunity to keep the music going. Livestreams of Dead & Company’s performances are available for purchase via nugs, including opening sets by Billy Strings (August 1), Sturgill “Johnny Blue Skies” Simpson (August 2) and Trey Anastasio Band (August 3).

A portion of proceeds from The Heart Of Town will benefit The Rex Foundation. Fans are asked to consider donating to the non-profit organization created by the Grateful Dead family and friends in 1983.
