The 2017 Hardly Strictly Bluegrass music festival will be held in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park October 6 – 8. In recent years organizers of the free event have shared medleys to give attendees a hint as to who will be performing at the festival, which was founded by the late Warren Hellman. After confirming the 20 acts featured in the first two ’17 medleys, HSB organizers have shared a third medley containing music from 10 additional acts set to play this year’s festival.

The first medley featured music from HSB ’17 performers The Secret Sisters, Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real, Jon Langford’s Four Lost Souls, Terri Hendrix with Lloyd Maines, The Sons Of The Soul Revivers, Justin Townes Earle, Rodney Crowell, Gurf Morlix, Midnight North and The Nth Power. Last week’s second medley contained portions of music from HSB ’17 performers The Bo-Keys featuring Don Bryant & Percy Wiggins, Randy Newman, Sturgill Simpson, The Flatlanders, Gillian Welch, Poncho Sanchez, Sisters Morales, Nancy & The Lambchops, Junior Brown and Ornette’s Prime Time Band Reunion with special guests David Murray, Marc Ribot and Wallace Roney.

The complete lineup will feature over 100 performers who will appear across seven stages. Below is the first medley shared in advance of HSB 2017 which is made up of recordings by 10 of the artists who will be at Golden Gate Park. Listeners are encouraged to share their guess in the comments of this post. Stay tuned for more lineup-revealing medleys in the coming weeks ahead of the final official full lineup confirmation.
