Working By The Bay: Hard Working Americans At The Fillmore – Photos, Videos & Setlist

On Friday, Hard Working Americans brought their West Coast Tour to The Fillmore in San Francisco. The band featuring vocalist Todd Snider, bassist Dave Schools, guitarist Neal Casal, drummer Duane Trucks, keyboardist Chad Staehly and lap steel/guitarist Jesse Aycock constructed a setlist mixing songs from their 2014 self-titled debut album and their 2016 recently issued sophomore effort ‘Rest In Chaos.’ The show opened with Snider’s “Mission Accomplished” which they included on their 2014 live LP ‘The First Waltz’ followed by the ‘Rest In Chaos’ track “Dope Is Dope.” Other selections from the new album played Friday evening included “Opening Statement,” “It Runs Together,” “Half Ass Moses” and “Roman Candles,” among a few others.

Mid-set the collective offered their arrangement of “Blackland Farmer” featuring a regularly interjected “Born To Be Wild” tag. The one set performance closed with a continuous sequence made up of “The High Price Of Inspiration” > “Burn Out Shoes” > “Another Train” > “Is This Thing Working” > “Another Train.” The encore began with the ‘Chaos’ cut “Acid” followed by the ‘HWA’ track “Wrecking Ball” and “Purple Mountain Jamboree” from the latest LP.
