Guitarfish Music Festival Announces 2020 Hiatus
Organizers of the Guitarfish Music Festival announced the annual event will not be held in 2020. The first Guitarfish Music Festival was held in 2011 at Cisco Grove Campground in Cisco Grove, California.
Here’s the note from Guitarfish’s organizers regarding the event’s hiatus:
Dear Guitarfish Family,
After 9 consecutive years, we’ve had to make the extremely difficult decision not to move forward with Guitarfish in 2020. It’s been a tough decision but due to a variety of factors we feel this is the best option for the festival at this time. We can’t say if a return is in the cards, either as Guitarfish or the next manifestation of this dream, but you can be sure you’ll all be invited to the party if/when it does happen!
BIG thanks to you all for the joyous memories and magical moments we’ve shared together; we are so proud of this festival and community that we have all created together. We greatly appreciate all the support over the past 9 years, the festival could not have happened without you!
Brent Dana and friends brought the dream to life back in 2011. For the past three years, the Joshua Tree Music Festival family have collaborated with Brent and the Guitarfish team to keep that dream alive.
To all the super believers who purchased early bird tickets for 2020, we apologize for any inconvenience and we will contact you directly regarding a full refund.
The Joshua Tree Music Festival family will continue rocking their festivals twice a year (May & October) in Joshua Tree.
Please stay tuned for updates from Brent Dana regarding future music endeavors!
