The Greyboy Allstars Add Shows In NYC And New Orleans

Legendary funk act The Greyboy Allstars have recently announced a handful of springtime performances. The band, which was formed way back in 1994 and still comes together for occasional gigs, features saxophonist Karl Denson, guitarist Elgin Park, keyboardist Robert Walter, bassist Chris Stillwell and drummer Aaron Redfield.
As previously announced, on April 9 The Greyboy Allstars will open for Billy & The Kids at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco. Eric Krasno is expected to sit-in with Billy & The Kids on the 9th. Then, on April 22, the quintet will play a show during the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival at the Crescent City’s Joy Theater. Vulfpeck and The Pimps Of Joytime are also aboard for the concert in New Orleans. The Greyboy Allstars have also announced a pair of shows at New York City’s Brooklyn Bowl that are scheduled for May 20 and 21.
Tickets for the New Orleans show go on sale this Friday at 11 a.m. CT via the venue’s website, while tickets for the Brooklyn Bowl performances go up for grabs on Friday at 10 a.m. ET via Ticketfly.
