Greensky Bluegrass‘ winter run with support from Melt rolled into The Paramount in Huntington, New York on Sunday. The string quintet brought out Melt members Veronica Stewart-Frommer and Marlo Shankweiler for The Beatles’ “Let It Be.”
The “Let It Be” cover capped the concert. It marked GSBG’s first performance of the song in 2024 and second overall, debuting the title track to The Beatles’ 1970 album on June 28, 2023 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, as per Phantasy Tour.

GSBG’s “Let It Be” in Huntington saw mandolinist Paul Hoffman swapping verses with Melt vocalist Veronica Stewart-Frommer. Guitarist Marlo Shankweiler added some tasty electric guitar riffage and also delivered a solo.

GSBG kicked off the concert with staple “Burn Them.” The first set came to a close with “Courage For The Road.”
The second set got underway with a bust out of “Just Listening,” off the band’s 2014 album If Sorrows Swim. The quintet last played “Just Listening” on November 2, 2022.
The second set also saw the band dust off a cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “The Ballad of Curtis Lowe,” last played on February 7, 2020 for a gap of 254 shows.
In other Greensky Bluegrass news, the band recently detailed their two-night 2024 Red Rocks stand. Both concerts on September 13 and 14 will see the band performing with frequent collaborator and keyboardist Holly Bowling. Support on night one will come from The California Honeydrops while September 14 Andy Frasco & The U.N. will open up.
In efforts to keep tickets in the hands of fans, Greensky is offering a lottery for tickets to the Red Rocks shows (2-Day, September 13, Septemebr 14) that is open now and will run until Wednesday, February 7 at 3 p.m. MT. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, February 9 at 10 a.m. MT.
