Greensky Bluegrass Announces Winter Tour 2017

Michigan jamgrass outfit Greensky Bluegrass have just announced their first tour of 2017. The band’s Winter ’17 outing, as currently laid out, will begin and end in the Midwest with visits to the Northeast and Southeast included.

The run begins at the House Of Blues in Cleveland on January 11. From there, Greensky will bring the tour to The Vogue in Indianapolis, The Pageant in St. Louis, Nashville’s Marathon Music Works and Newport Music Hall in Columbus before heading south. On January 18 the band will return to the Georgia Theatre in Athens and then visit Charlotte’s Fillmore, Iron City in Birmingham, Atlanta’s Buckhead Theatre and the Jefferson Theater in Charlottesville.

Next up for Greensky Bluegrass is a trip to the Northeast for shows at the Westcott in Syracuse, Penn’s Peak in Jim Thorpe and Boston’s House Of Blues ahead of performances at the PlayStation Theater in New York City and Albany’s The Egg. February begins with three nights at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. between February 2 and 4. The month also includes two night stands at the Rex in Pittsburgh on February 7 and 8 and Chicago’s Vic Theatre on February 10 and 11. In between GSBG will play Covington, Kentucky’s Madison Theater on February 9.

Following the tour, Greensky will support Umphrey’s McGee at the first two nights of the second annual Blue Ridge Rockway at ExploreAsheville Arena in Asheville, North Carolina. A pre-sale for all Winter Tour 2017 dates will begin on Wednesday, October 26 at 12 p.m. and will be followed the the general on sale this Friday, October 28.
