The Grateful Dead released pro-shot video of “Brown-Eyed Women” for the latest installment in the All The Years Live video series. The clip comes from GD’s June 22, 1991 concert at Chicago’s Soldier Field.

The Grateful Dead played a one-off show at Soldier Field in early Summer 1991 after an extensive winter and spring run. Soldier Field later became a hallowed place for Dead fans as it’s where GD played their final show in 1995 and also where the surviving members conducted their final three Fare Thee Well concerts in 2015.

The Grateful Dead actually debuted “Brown-Eyed Women” in Chicago on August 23, 1971. The “BEW” at Soldier Field in ‘91 came during the first set as it often did, as Dead archivist David Lemieux points out in his notes accompanying the video:

Since its debut in 1971, “Brown-Eyed Women” was one of the Dead’s most-played first set songs, played almost 350 times. This version is from the terrific 6/22/91 show in Chicago, featuring the short-lived two keyboardist arrangement with Vince and Bruce.
