Grace Bowers and her band The Hodge Podge shared a take on Sly & the Family Stone’s “Dance To The Music.” The choice cover will appear on the guitarist’s debut album, Wine on Venus, due out on August 9.
Bowers announced Wine On Venus in June and shared the title track. She had previously released the album track “Tell My Why U Do That.”

The latest from Bowers is Wine On Venus’ seventh track, the get up and groove Sly & the Family Stone 1967 classic “Dance To The Music.”
“‘Dance To The Music’ is The Hodge Podge’s take on Sly & the Family Stone,” Grace stated. “While keeping the spirit of the original, but with a modern twist. Recorded live in the room, you can hear the amount of fun we had while making this song!!”
“Dance To The Music” features : keyboardist Joshua Blaylock, drummer Brandon Combs, guitarist Prince Parker, vocalist Esther Okai-Tetteh and bassist Eric Fortaleza.
