Last night Gov’t Mule brought their current Spring Tour to Huntsville, Alabama for a performance at Von Braun Center. The show featured the debut of Mule’s recently shared new single as well as guitarist Eric Krasno once again sitting-in.
Guitarist Warren Haynes led the band through a set-opening rendition of “Blind Man In The Dark” that incorporated elements of “Pygmy Twylyte.” The set progressed with offerings of “Mr. High & Mighty,” “Brand New Angel,” “Lola, Leave Your Light On,” “Devil Likes It Slow” and “My Separate Reality” as well as a pair of The Beatles classics “She Said, She Said” > “Tomorrow Never Knows.”
Krasno, who opened the evening with his band, emerged to sit-in on “32/20 Blues.” The guitarist had also joined Haynes & Co. on Sunday and returned at the end of the show to augment the “Lucky” encore. Toward the end of Gov’t Mule’s main set the quartet launched into “Stone Cold Rage” marking the live debut of the lead single from the band’s forthcoming studio album Revolution Come … Revolution Go.
Mule’s Sping Tour continues tomorrow with a show at Minglewood Hall in Memphis. The Eric Krasno Band is again set to open.
