Virtual group Gorillaz confirmed a new studio album titled The Now Now will be issued by Warner Bros. Records on June 29. The band also unveiled a video for the LP’s lead single, shared a second track and announced a series of North American tour dates.
The Now Now features 11 new songs with only a few guests joining the band this time around unlike the collaboration-heavy 2017 Gorillaz album HUMANZ. One of those guests is jazz guitarist George Benson, who contributed to the lead single “Humility.” Snoop Dogg also appears on a track. Gorillaz produced The Now Now with James Ford and Remi Kabaka.

Co-creator Damon Albarn appeared on Zane Lowe’s World Record on Beats 1 on Apple Music to premiere “Humility.” Albarn called The Now Now a “summer record” and told Lowe he does most of the singing on the record. Gorillaz’s other co-creator, Jamie Hewlett directed a video for the single featuring Jack Black. The band also shared The Now Now track “Lake Zurich.”
A North American Tour in support of the album begins at Air Canada Centre in Toronto on October 8. From there, the band hits Montreal, Philadelphia, New York City, Boston and Chicago. Gorillaz will present the U.S. premiere of the Demon Dayz Festival at the Pico Riviera Sports Arena & Grounds in Los Angeles on October 20. Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday, June 8 at 10 a.m. PT.
