Goose concluded a two-night stand and the first leg of their 2021 tour at The Caverns Above Ground Amphitheater in Pelham, Tennessee on Sunday. The show, which featured the debut of an original entitled “Welcome To Delta,” went on despite rainstorms.

The quintet began last night’s show with a cover of The Wood Brothers’ “Atlas.” Next up was an unusual, upbeat and well-jammed “Indian River” that gave way to the premiere of “Welcome To Delta.” The debut was followed by “Butter Rum” before Goose closed out the rain-shortened set with “Elmeg The Wise.”

Goose returned to the stage after an extended setbreak that spanned approximately 80 minutes. The five-piece treated rain-soaked fans to an impressive “Madhuvan” featuring “Spirit Of The Dark Horse” within. “Spirit Of The Dark Horse” included “Tumble” teases, foreshadowing the song that would follow after “Doobie Song.”

The group closed out last night’s second set with a cover of the Motown classic “Don’t Do It” based on the version by The Band. Goose capped the night with an encore featuring a take on Talking Heads’ “Crosseyed & Painless” that led into an “Elmeg The Wise” reprise. Next up for Goose is a performance at Northlands in Swanzey, New Hampshire on June 11.
