Goose kicked off a two-night stand at the new Allianz Amphitheater at Riverfront in Richmond, Virginia on Thursday. Night one saw the quartet unveiling a cover of Ween’s “Chocolate Town.”

Goose kicked off the concert with the title track to their album, Everything Must Go, one of two studio LPs they released in 2025. All told, the band performed 6 of the 14 tracks on the record in Richmond including a massive second set pairing of “Red Bird” and “Atlas Dogs,” together totaling 35 minutes.

Goose premiered their cover of “Chocolate Town” toward the end of the first set. The song originally appears on Ween’s 2003 album Quebec. While Goose has never officially covered a Ween song before, according to ElGoose, the band did recently team up with Mt. Joy during their set at a co-headline show in Madison, Wisconsin to perform Ween’s “Ocean Man.”

Guitarist Rick Mitarotonda led the “Chocolate Town” debut in Richmond. The choice cover also saw Peter Anspach stepping out from behind his keyboard rig to play guitar while drummer Cotter Ellis nailed the song’s shuffle.

Elsewhere in the show, the band brought “Dim Lights” into an electric format for the first time, the third Goose performance of the song overall. Additional covers included Nina Simone’s “Sinnerman” to wrap the second set and the Grateful Dead-covered, Bobby “Blue” Bland classic “Turn On Your Lovelight” to seal the show.
