The first big exploration of the night came on “Drive” followed by the Grateful Dead-covered John Phillips tune “Me & My Uncle.” Standalone renditions of “Silver Rising” and “Your Ocean” followed. Goose concluded the first frame with an expansive “Hungersite,” a harbinger of things to come in the second set.
Goose launched the second set with top-shelf improv on “Thatch.” The band then took “Creatures” even further, stretching the song to just shy of 25-minutes. The band then offered their cover of ‘s “Hollywood Nights.”
To wrap the four-song second set, Goose brought out Penelope Road’s Max Moore and Charles Eastman for “So Ready.” Charles joined Peter Anspach at his key rig. Peter also played guitar on the tune supplementing the double guitar attack Max Moore and Rick Mitarotonda. Goose went it alone to seal the show with Everything Must Go cut “Give It Time.”
