Goose posted pro-shot video of “Hot Tea” featuring special guests The Horn Section of Cool Cool Cool and keyboardist Neal Francis. The 17-minute version was filmed on Wednesday, May 3 during the second and final night of the band’s headlining run at Daze Between New Orleans.
The guest-fueled “Hot Tea” at Faubourg Brewery capped Goose’s first set last Wednesday. Francis focused on electric piano while Peter Anspach played Clavinet for a call-and-response sequence to start the first jam. The second “Hot Tea” jam saw The Horn Section — consisting of baritone saxophonist Josh Schwartz, tenor saxophonist Greg Sanderson and trumpeter Chris Brouwers — take solos before Goose guitarist Rick Mitarotonda unleashed a flurry of hot licks to bring the song to a close.
