God Street Wednesdays | Friday And Saturday In NYC

We’ve almost made it to God Street Wine’s long-awaited 25th anniversary shows, which take place on Friday and Saturday at the Gramercy Theatre in NYC. The jam scene favorites played their first show way back on December 13, 1988 at the legendary Nightingale’s club, not too far from where the band will celebrate 25 years this weekend.

The Gramercy has become somewhat of a home for the band in this latest era of their existence. GSW made their debut at the venue on July 9 and 10, 2010; which were the group’s first shows in nearly nine years. They returned two years later for a three-night stand that spanned August 16 -18, 2012. We’re excited to premiere video of “Imogene” from August 16, 2012 that shows off the band’s improvisational prowess. While guitarist Aaron Maxwell lays into his solo, his band mates provide a funky groove that would make The Meters proud. Take a look:

Tickets for both of this weekend’s shows are available via Live Nation.
