Gillian Welch & David Rawlings Add 2026 Grateful Dead Acoustic Reckoning Tour Dates

By popular demand, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings confirmed new Grateful Dead Acoustic Reckoning Tour dates. The duo will bring the tribute honoring the 45th anniversary of Grateful Dead's live album, Reckoning, to the Pacific Northwest in August.

Welch and Rawlings return to Portland, Oregon on August 15 and 16 for a pair of Grateful Dead Acoustic Reckoning shows at Revolution Hall. They’ll then head to Seattle to play tribute shows on August 19 and 20 at the Moore Theatre.

Pre-sale tickets can be obtained using the password RECKONING at 10 a.m. PT on Wednesday, April 29. Remaining tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, May 1 at 10 a.m. PT.

“The Grateful Dead flirted with acoustic music throughout their career, until they released their Reckoning album, 45 years ago,” Welch and Rawlings shared when the initial set of dates was announced. “We have flirted with Grateful Dead music throughout our career, until this anniversary was suggested as a good reason to book these shows. We know the Dead’s music is a mountain, and we’re hoping to start up from base camp this Spring in celebration of their legacy.”

The Grateful Dead Acoustic Reckoning Tour began earlier this month and hit venues in Nashville, Saxapahaw (North Carolina), Port Chester (New York), Oakland, Santa Cruz (California) and New Orleans. Gillian Welch and David Rawlings who will also bring the tribute to Newport Folk in July, mixed Reckoning tracks with other favorites from the Grateful Dead’s live repertoire. Bassist Paul Kowert of Punch Brothers has accompanied the duo at all April dates.
