Last night, an all-star cast of performers came together with The Who and The Who’s touring band as part of a benefit concert at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire. Eddie Vedder, Liam Gallagher and Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott were just a few of the performers who sang Who songs in fronting The Who’s touring band throughout the evening. One of our favorite performances featured Rush bassist and vocalist Geddy Lee. Lee turned in a fantastic version of “The Seeker”:

Speaking of Geddy Lee and Rush, Rolling Stone posted a chat with the bassist yesterday in which he refuted Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson’s recent comments about the band starting a tour next spring. “We’re still talking. Everybody has a different idea how they want to spend the next couple of years, so we haven’t come to a decision. I’m ready and happy to play if everyone else agrees. I think in the next couple of months we’ll decide to do something or not.” We sure hope Geddy is just playing coy.

When asked whether it was drummer Neil Peart holding up a tour, Lee responded “It’s a group thing. It’s one of those things where everybody enjoyed their break so much. It doesn’t feel like it was very long ago that we played our last show in Kansas City. So it’s like, ‘Do we have to talk about this already?’ But slowly we’re getting around to figuring it out.” Stay tuned!
