G. Love Announces New Album ‘The Juice’ & Shares Single Featuring Keb’ Mo’

G. Love went the solo route for his forthcoming album, The Juice, due on January 17 via Philadelphonic/Thirty Tigers. While Garrett goes without Special Sauce on the 11-track release, he did recruit a bevy of special guests including Keb’ Mo’, Robert Randolph and Marcus King. G. Love previewed the album by sharing its lead single, “Go Crazy.”

The Juice was recorded in Nashville and also includes cameos from Roosevelt Collier and Ron Artis II. “Go Crazy” features Keb’ Mo’ who also contributed to three other tracks on the LP. “Working with Keb’ was truly a lesson in the Delta Blues, but also a lesson deep into music and life itself,” G. Love told Rolling Stone. “Every lyric, every story, every song, and every note played or sung by every musician on the record had to be just the right thing, played the right way, on the right beat, and with the right feeling and sentiment behind it.”

“We’ve got the cure for all of your pent-up frustration. ‘Go Crazy’ is a party jam for our troubled times,” added Garrett of a song he played a number of times live with members of moe. and Blues Traveler during their collaborative summer tour. “With so much bad news on the news every day, we have to work hard not to get swept away into a downward spiral of negative anxiety.”
