Full Show Video: The Claypool Lennon Delirium Visits The Ritz Ybor

Bassist Les Claypool and guitarist Sean Lennon are currently in the middle of their first-ever The Claypool Lennon Delirium tour. The pair are joined on the road by keyboardist Mark Ramos Nishita (Beastie Boys) and drummer Paul Baldi (Fungi Band) and the quartet focuses on material from the recently released Monolith Of Phobos with a few extra treats thrown in. Recently, fan-shot video of the group’s entire second-ever live performance has surfaced on YouTube.

While the footage of The Claypool Lennon Delirium’s June 5th performance at The Ritz in Ybor City, Florida is a bit dark, so is the content of the music. The fan-shot video is synced with high-quality taper audio of the quartet’s 14-song performance. Gems from Monolith Of Phobos performed on this night include “Oxycontin Girl,” “Bubbles Burst” and “Boomerang Baby.” Claypool, Lennon, Nishita and Baldi also play Primus’ “Southbound Pachyderm,” the Beatles’ “Tomorrow Never Knows,” Pink Floyd’s “Astronomy Domine” and “Up On The Roof” from Claypool’s time in the Frog Brigade.
