Full Show Audio: Ryan Montbleau Guests With Greensky Bluegrass At Stratton Mountain
By Scott Bernstein Aug 8, 2017 • 8:02 am PDT
Vermont’s Stratton Mountain Resort hosted jamgrass favorites Greensky Bluegrass on Saturday night. The five-piece teamed up with old friend Ryan Montbleau for a portion of their encore on Saturday.
Greensky opened the first set on Saturday with their standout cover of “Dustbowl Overtures.” The rest of the 65-minute frame included such beloved originals as “All Four,” “Handguns” and “Just To Lie” as well as a cover of Norton Buffalo’s “Ain’t No Bread In The Breadbox” and more. Saturday’s second GSBG set began with “Take Cover” and contained a well-jammed rendition of Traffic’s “Light Up Or Leave Me Alone” and adventurous “Don’t Lie,” among others.
When Greensky Bluegrass returned to the stage for their encore at Stratton Mountain they were joined by New England native Ryan Montbleau. Ryan had sat-in with the group a number of times over the past five years. On Saturday, Montbleau led the quintet on the Motown classic “I Second That Emotion.” GSBG then ended the evening with their own “Demons.”
