Full Show Audio: Rich Robinson & Marc Ford Team For Acoustic Show In Los Angeles
By Scott Bernstein Mar 25, 2017 • 10:23 am PDT
Longtime Black Crowes bandmates and current members of The Magpie Salute, guitarists Rich Robinson and Marc Ford, came together for an acoustic duo performance at The Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles on Thursday. The pair mixed classic rock covers with songs from their own projects and threw in a handful of Black Crowes songs for good measure.
Rich and Marc both opened and closed with portions of the Amorica era b-side “Sunday Night Buttermilk Waltz.” Along the way they fit in a number of Ford’s songs including “All We Need To Do Is Love,” “Deep Water” and “Devil’s In The Details.” Robinson’s repertoire was represented by “Falling Again,” “Time To Leave” and “The Music That Will Lift Me,” while the pair also worked Black Crowes classics “How Much For Your Wings?,” “Bring On, Bring On,” “Nonfiction” and “Wiser Time” into the set as well as covers of Faces’ “Glad And Sorry” and “No Expectations” by The Rolling Stones.
An audience recording of the show recently surfaced and can be streamed below.
