Full Show Audio: Joe Russo’s Almost Dead Debuts Bob Dylan Cover In Denver

Last month Joe Russo’s Almost Dead held opened a two-night stand in Colorado with a performance at the Ogden Theatre in Denver before heading over to 1stBank Center in Broomfield the following night. JRAD has shared an official soundboard recording of their April 28 appearance at the Ogden feature the band’s debut performance of a Bob Dylan song.

About midway into the first set, guitarist Scott Metzger led the collective on their debut performance of Dylan’s “Tell Me, Momma.” Toward the end of the second set, Stuart Bogie joined the Grateful Dead tribute act on saxophone for a performance of “Dancing In The Streets” that segued into a jam on Medeski, Martin & Wood’s “Bubblehouse” before transitioning back to “Dancing.” Bogie also added sax to the set two closing rendition of “Franklin’s Tower” and brought his clarinet out for the “U.S. Blues” encore.
