Full Show Audio: Holly Bowling Covers Phish’s ‘Billy Breathes’ Album

Pianist Holly Bowling held a pair of shows at The Cutting Room in New York City to ring in 2017. Her opening night concert on December 30 featured her song-for-song live interpretation of Phish’s album Billy Breathes in its entirety.

Phish released their studio album Billy Breathes on Elektra Records in 1996 featuring 13 original songs. Just like the Steve Lillywhite-produced LP, Bowling started her show with “Free” and proceeded to weave her way through the record’s 12 other tracks. Her covers of Billy Breathes cuts “Cars Trucks Buses,” “Bliss” and “Prince Caspian” were all live debuts.
